Microsoft 365 Defender Research team has discovered a new vulnerability called Powerdir that affects MacOS. This vulnerability allows the attacker to bypass a user’s privacy preferences thereby allowing access to users private data. Inshort the attacker can have access to microphone and camera, thereby recording your private conversations and also can capture screen shots of the users screen

The above vulnerability allows the attacker to bypass Apple’s Transparency, Consent, and Control (TCC) technology to gain unauthorized access to the users protected data.
